A whispering gallery mode resonator (WGMR) filter can narrow laser linewidth while significantly changing the output power characteristics of fiber laser system. It is found that traditional laser output power model is invalid. We report a correction model of a narrow linewidth fiber laser filtered with a WGMR to analyze its power. We believe that the loss of the laser system and the threshold gain increase caused by the WGMR filter lead to the predominate amplified spontaneous emission during the original laser period. According to that, we assume the correction coefficient is an exponential decay related to the Er-doped fiber length in the large loss situation, and we verify it experimentally. As a result, the correction model is valid for WGMR-filtered fiber laser.

The spectral purity of fiber lasers has become a critical issue in both optical sensing and communication fields. As a result of ultra-narrow intrinsic linewidth, stimulated thermal Rayleigh scattering (STRS) has presented special potential to compress the linewidth of fiber lasers. To suppress stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS), the most dominant disturbance for STRS in optical fibers, a semi-quantitative estimation has been established to illuminate the mechanism of suppressing SBS in a periodic tapered fiber, and it agrees with experimental results. Finally, a linewidth compression device based on STRS is integrated into a single-longitudinal-mode ring-cavity fiber laser with secondary cavities, and its linewidth is verified to be 200 Hz through a self-heterodyne detecting and Voigt fitting method.

为了抑制经典投影限制集(POCS)算法中图像复原产生的振铃效应及噪声放大的缺点,提高复原图像的分辨率,提出了一种基于维纳(Wiener)滤波和POCS混合的超分辨率图像复原算法。利用Wiener滤波的抗噪性和全局收敛性对经典POCS算法原始估计图像f0和超分辨率复原图像fi分别进行约束,同时在POCS中加以局部变量的约束。实验结果表明,新算法比原始POCS算法的峰值信噪比(PSNR)和归一化相关性测度(NCCF)均有提高,且Wiener作为整体约束的算法更具有优势,NCCF最多提高7.28%,PSNR最多提高32.35%,具有很好的图像复原结果。
